State Police Seize Drugs, Unstamped Cigarettes In Newburgh Traffic Stop

NEWBURGH, N.Y. – State Police seized more than two pounds of an illegal stimulant as well as 40 cartons of unstamped cigarettes during a routine traffic stop in Newburgh on Tuesday, authorities said.

Mansswr Saleh, 40, of Brooklyn was pulled over for a moving violation on Interstate 87 just before 9 p.m. A search found two pounds of KHAT as well as the unmarked cigarettes, troopers said.

Saleh was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession or transport for sale of unmarked cigarettes, officials said. 

Saleh was taken to Orange County Jail without bail.
