POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – Here’s a look at events taking place around Pound Ridge this week, including town board and committee meetings, as well as library events.

Tuesday, July 31

Reading With Rufus: 3:30-4:30 p.m. This Pound Ridge Library event is for elementary school children. Come out and read to Rufus, the book-loving dog. Designed to help shy readers come out of their shells. Registration is required. Call 914-764-5085. Pound Ridge Library, 271 Westchester Ave.

Election Inspector Training:  6-9 p.m. A training session for election inspectors for the fall elections will be conducted at the Town House. 179 Westchester Ave., Pound Ridge.

Wednesday, Aug. 1

Animal Tracks: 3:30-4:30 p.m. Come to the library and make casts of animal tracks with the Westmoreland Animal Sanctuary. Listen to tracking stories and meet some live animals. For ages 6 and up. Registration is required. Call 914-764-5085. Pound Ridge Library, 271 Westchester Ave.

Water Control Commission: 7 p.m. The Pound Ridge Water Control Commission will hold its regularly monthly meeting at the Town House. 179 Westchester Ave.

Conservation Board: 7-9 p.m. The Pound Ridge Conservation Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at the Town House. 179 Westchester Ave.

Thursday, Aug. 2

Teen End-of-Summer Party: 7-9 p.m. This library party will feature a Wii tournament with prizes, and snacks will be make-your-own sundaes. Call 914-764-5085 for more information. Pound Ridge Library, 271 Westchester Ave.

Town Board Meeting: 8 p.m. The Pound Ridge Town Board will hold one of its two regular monthly meetings at the Town House in the main meeting room. 179 Westchester Ave.

Fun With Music: 11 a.m. The library presents Fun With Music with Laura D’Amico. This event is for children 5 years old and under. Registration is required. Call the library at 914-764-5085. Pound Ridge Library, 271Westchester Ave.
