POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- The Pound Ridge Town Board, with two new members with terms that have officially started, is scheduled to meet for the first time this year on Thursday, Jan. 7 for its organization meeting.

The meeting, which starts at 8 p.m. and will be held at the town house, is primarily a house-keeping matter. Agenda items range from the appointment of a deputy supervisor and confidential secretary to appointing members of the town's land-use and advisory boards.

The Town Board's new members are Jody Sullivan and David Dow, who won a pair of council seats in November by unseating incumbents Ali Boak and Sherene De Palma. The newcomers are joined by three incumbents: Supervisor Dick Lyman, who won re-election in November; Councilman Dan Paschkes, who unsuccessfully challenged Lyman but whose current term is staggered; and Councilwoman Bonnie Schwartz, whose term is also staggered.

The agenda for the organization meeting is on the town's website.

Thursday's meeting should also be the first that residents can view after the fact, as online streaming is now in effect due to the new budget year.
