Indian Point Unit 2 Returns To Service

BUCHANAN, N.Y. -- Operaters flipped the switch and returned Indian Point's unit two reactor to active service on Thursday afternoon.

The unit two reactor shut down automatically on Wednesday while technicians tested electrical systems.

Indian Point’s other operating unit, Unit 3, has been online providing electricity continuously for 204 days.
