CT Man Killed In Crash At Fishers Island

A Connecticut man died in a fatal car crash on Long Island.

New York State Police are investigating a fatal car accident that took the life of a Norwich man on Fishers' Island. Friends of Kevin Brown are shown at a memorial painted in his memory at Norwich Skate Park.

Troopers responded on Saturday, Aug. 21 at around 2 a.m. to East End Drive on Fishers Island. which is located in Southold, to the crash.

Kevin Brown, 27, of Baltic, Connecticut had sustained significant head trauma after reportedly falling from the trunk of a 2011 Hyundai Genesis, according to New York State Police at the Troop L barracks.

Brown was taken to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London where he died from his injuries, police said.

The driver and the vehicle involved were located on Fishers Island and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, according to New York State Police. No criminal charges have been filed at the present time.

Anyone witnesses with information pertaining to this accident are asked to call the New York State Police at 631-756-3300. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
