POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- Artwork by illustrator Floyd Rappy will be displayed at the Pound Ridge Library until Oct. 29.
His artwork, often architectural drawings and human forms, aspires to be "the outward expression of my inner life that will reveal my personal vision of the world," he said.
Rappy attended School of Visual Arts on a full scholarship, studying illustration. After graduating in 1985, he worked as an illustrator and calligrapher while continuing his fine art studies at The Art Students League and The New School.
He has a design firm, Rappy & Company, with corporate clients, and has taught drawing, painting and calligraphy at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn. He also taught advanced marketing design at New York University.
"We look through a certain lens that is our own perspective and we translate the world around us. Here's my lens," Rappy said.
The library is located at 271 Westchester Ave. For library hours, call (914) 764-5085
