Warning, Motorists: Work Starts On Several North Castle Roads

NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. -- North Castle Highway Department officials are getting the word out to residents that crews are starting the rehabilitation of several roads in town.

Phase one work is expected to start this week, weather permitting, on these roads:

  • Old Post Road
  • Eden Hunt Place
  • Spruce Hollow
  • Spurce Hill Road
  • Maple Way
  • Hardscrabble Circle
  • Evergreen Row
  • North Lane
  • North Ridge
  • Long Pond Court

Highway Department officials are warning motorists to drive slowly on these roads and be aware that there may be delays. Roads will not be closed entirely, but crews will be out doing work, officials said.

Also, there will be no parking on these roads or the shoulder areas during the rehabilitation work. Officials say phase two will start as soon as road drainage work is completed, officials said.
