The crash took place around 9:20 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, southbound in Tarrytown, between mile markers 20.4 TO 13.4, said the New York State Police.

No injuries were reported, but two lanes were closed for a short time to clear the scene, causing the current back-up.

New York State Thruway Authority is asking drivers to avoid the area.
