Bronxville Athletes Alerted To Alternate SAT Dates BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Athletes for Bronxville High School have been notified that Section One finals for fall sports will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7, which is when the SAT will be taking place according to BOCES of Southern Westchester. The purpose of the notice is to ensure athletes are aware of the two Saturday morning alternate dates available, Oct. 3 and Dec. 5, and that the Section won't be able to move any scheduled events that day. Katherine M. Balint, 106, Of Bridgeport BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Katherine M. Balint, a long-time resident of Bridgeport, died on Tuesday, Aug. 11. She was 106. She was born in Budapest, Hungary, and her family sheltered Polish refugees during the First World War. Her family fled Hungary when a communist regime came to power. Balint's family eventually went back, and she met her husband while teaching French in high school. The couple lived in Ann Arbor, Mich., Buffalo, N.Y., and Switzerland, and she moved to Bridgeport in 1980, after her husband died. Balint held multiple teaching degrees and was a frequent traveler.
