Man Charged With DWI In I-287 Stop Had BAC Twice Legal Limit, Police Say

A 31-year-old man has been charged with DWI after police say he was stopped on I-287 with a BAC of twice the legal limit.

New York State Police say they stopped a vehicle for a violation on I-287 on Saturday, June 29 around 2:30 a.m.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Errol Hibbert II, of White Plains, was found to be intoxicated, police say.

Hibbert was taken into custody, transported and processed at State Police barracks in New Rochelle, where his BAC was tested at .22, according to police.

Hibbert was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor, as well as several vehicle and traffic violations.

Hibbert was turned over to a sober third party and is scheduled to appear at the Town of Harrison Court on Tuesday, July 23.
