Officials have released the identity of the 39-year-old man who was found dead inside his Westchester home earlier this week.

The body of Randy Street was discovered in his basement apartment on Wednesday, March 13 on South Sixth Avenue in Mount Vernon by his girlfriend, police said, though additional details of the incident are still being withheld as the investigation into the death is ongoing.

There was a heavy police presence for several hours on Wednesday as police investigated the death. An autopsy is expected to be conducted, which will help determine if it is a criminal or homicide investigation.
