CROMPOND, N.Y. – Albert E. “Gene” Lewis, of Crompond, died on Wednesday, Aug. 12. He was 85.
Lewis was born in the Bronx on Dec. 15, 1929, to Albert and Kathleen Lewis.
He served n the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1950.
Lewis is survived by his wife, Marie, two daughters, Joan Caputo and Barbara DiMartino, and son, Steven, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be at the Yorktown Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Church in Cortlandt Manor on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
