Mount Vernon's Paula Ress Chosen As National Fellow In Aging Services

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Mount Vernon's Paula Ress, a vice president and nursing home administrator for Wartburg, was chosen as a Fellow for LeadingAge's 2016 Leadership Academy program.

Ress has been part of the nursing home facility since 2004.

She has led the way to expand and renovate the facility, adding a wing for rehabilitation of heart ailments and . There is also another outpatient rehab facility planned to open this fall.

“I am proud of Ms. Ress and confident she will use this experience to enhance our leadership team’s ability to collaborate with other key area providers in an effort to better serve this community,” David Gentner, Wartburg president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

LeadingAge Leadership Academy fellows come from not-for-profit organizations who work in the aging services industry. The program runs for a year.

“I am excited to have been selected as a Fellow as it will allow for professional growth as well as the opportunity to exchange ideas and best practices with similar healthcare organizations from across the country,” added Ress in a statement.
