The six-part miniseries is a retelling of former Yonkers Mayor Nick Wasicsko's attempts to desegregate Yonkers housing in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Times critic Mike Hale praises Simon and co-creator William F. Zorzi for their attention to detail and the facts of the story, calling the miniseries a 'more than worthwhile' exercise.

Simon and other members of the cast and crew attended a premiere earlier this week at the Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers.
