Pound Ridge Montessori School Offering Presentation On Child Development

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – Pound Ridge Montessori School is offering "Montessori in the Home," an interactive presentation to help parents foster their child’s independence, Thursday, Nov. 5 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Pound Ridge Montessori School.

The presentation will teach parents how to create an optimal learning environment at home to support their child’s social, emotional and intellectual development.

Kristen Ancker is a Montessori certified teacher and positive discipline parent and teacher educator. Ancker will give hands-on tools and ideas on how to design homes to foster children’s independence. She will also share some communication tools based on the Adlerian philosophy of Positive Discipline to help to build a respectful relationship with children.

The presentation is free for Pound Ridge Montessori School parents and $25 for non- Pound Ridge Montessori School parents. Appetizers and drinks will be provided.

The Pound Ridge Montessori School is at 5 Highview Road, Pound Ridge.
