The film follows how a community on Long Island's east end joined together to clear their lake of phragmite reed, a highly invasive species. The community educated themselves, raised money and hired biologist Steve Marino for the eradication.
A discussion with locals working on invasive species control in Croton will follow.
The free event is presented by the Saw Mill River Audubon.
