Driver Injured After Allegedly Attempting To Pass DOT Trucks On Taconic, State Police Say
A Hudson Valley man was injured after allegedly attempting to pass two Department of Transportation trucks on the Taconic Parkway and flipping his vehicle.
Putnam County resident Rowan Thomas, age 24, of Mahopac, was injured around 9:15 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 15, while driving his 2019 Jeep Compass on the parkway in Lagrangeville, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.
According to Hicks, two DOT Freightliner trucks were traveling slowly in the right lane when Thomas passed the first truck, only to realize that the second truck was in front of him, also traveling slowly.

Covid-19: Marist Dorm Quarantine Lifted After Tests Come Back Negative
A dormitory-wide quarantine in Marist College's Champagnat Hall, its largest housing unit, has been lifted after students' COVID tests came back negative.
The quarantine, which ended on Thursday, Aug. 27, was put in place after an off-campus student tested positive for the virus, then "came into contact with several Marist students, including residents of Champagnat Hall, at an off-campus party," according to a letter that the college sent to students.

Three Killed In Crash Between Tractor-Trailer, Two Cars In Hudson Valley
Three people were killed in a crash involving three vehicles on a stretch of the New York State Thruway in the Hudson Valley.
The crash, involving a tractor-trailer and two cars, happened around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2 in Ulster County near Exit 19 on the southbound side of I-87 in the town of Ulster.
An investigation at the scene revealed that Luc Leblanc, 61, of Sala derry-de-val, Quebec, was operating a 2010 Volvo tractor-trailer, in the right lane when he encountered traffic stopped in front of him at mile marker 88.3, state police said.
