Greenwich Police say they responded to a report of a disabled vehicle in the area of Davis Avenue and Bruce Park Avenue on Saturday, June 15 around 5 a.m.

Further investigation revealed that a man was sleeping in the vehicle in question, according to police. Once contacted, the man was observed to be drooling and have red, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Officers also allegedly noticed an alcoholic odor.

Police say the vehicle was still running and that the operator, identified as Steven Ramirez, 30, of White Plains, was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

Ramirez was arrested, transported, processed and charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs. He was released on a $250 bond to the care of his father and is scheduled to appear at Stamford Superior court on Monday, June 24.
