Hal (Harold) Caldwell, 88, Pleasantville Resident

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Hal (Harold) Caldwell, of Pleasantville, died Saturday, Feb. 27. He was 88.

He was born in Mount Vernon and served in the Army Air Forces immediately after World War II. 

He was a longtime car salesman and worked for many dealerships throughout Westchester until his retirement. He sold watches, ties and other items at flea markets and shows across the area with his wife, Harriet.

He is survived by his daughters, Mindy Stoller, and her husband, Bill, and Susan Ostrow, and her husband, Bob, all of Pleasantville; and grandsons Matt Greiss, and James and Rory Ostrow.

His wife died in 2012.

Visitation is Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. at the Ostrow home, 90 Great Oak Lane, Pleasantville. 

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Hawthorne Funeral Home with interment following at King David Cemetery in Putnam Valley.
