The Bagel Boss customer who made national news when a video of him going on a tirade before being tackled to the ground on Long Island went viral will have his 15 minutes of fame last a little longer.
Chris Morgan, who was caught on camera berating employees and customers at Bagel Boss in Bay Shore on Thursday, July 10, cursing out workers before turning his attention to the crowd behind him, has reportedly signed a deal to star in a celebrity boxing match.
In the 45-second clip, which has garnered more than 20 million views across social media, the diminutive man can be heard shouting about his height and dating websites before throwing his newspaper to the ground and ramping things up.
According to TMZ, the Long Island man has signed a contract with fighting promoter Damon Feldman, and is scheduled to step into the ring on Sept. 7 in Atlantic City. He is expected to fight another viral video star, though it is unclear which will make the cut and will face the 45-year-old Morgan.
Morgan told TMZ that he won't require a lot of training, and that he’s already in fighting shape and ready to go to battle, though he was easily tackled by a larger man in the viral video that made him famous.
Suffolk County Police responded to Bagel Boss at approximately 9:30 a.m. on the day of the incident, where there were reports of two men fighting. No arrests were made.
