Kevin Woyce will detail the history of this landmark from its formation and discovery to the American Revolution and the creation of Palisades Interstate Park. In 1524, explorer Giovanni da Verrazano described the cliffs along the west bank of the Hudson River as "a fence of stakes," or "Palisades."

Explore the park's major trails, from abandoned riverfront beaches and ferry landings to a vanished cliff top world of mansions and grand hotels. Attendees will also visit Fort Lee and Palisades Amusement Park.
