PELHAM, N.Y. -- Pelham Memorial High School students earned honors at the National History Day competition on March 7 at St. Thomas Aquinas College in Rockland County.
These students were honored:
Individual Exhibit - First place - Emma Curtin for "Martin Luther King Jr: Leading Our Nation Towards Equality."
Individual Historical Paper - Second place - Clara Choate for "Mary Edwards Walker: Surgeon, War Hero, Feminist, Forgotten."
Individual Website - Third place - Jessica Palmisciano for "The Legacies of Carl Sagan & Neil DeGrasse Tyson on American Astronomy."
Curtin and Choate will be moving on to the State Competition at Cooperstown, N.Y., on Monday, April 27 and Palmisciano will be placed on the standby list.
