The ceremony is the second of two events hosted by Pelham officials, who note that 10 Town of Pelham residents were killed that day.

The first ceremony is at 8:30 a.m. at the 9/11 Memorial on Harmon Avenue near the Pelham Gazebo Park.

It will feature two National Moments of Silence followed by the reading of the names of the Pelham residents who died that day. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will lay wreaths, and there will be an honor salute along with a playing of "Taps."

Ecumenical prayers will be offered, and The Pelham Larks will play a medley of patriotic songs. A reception follows in the Pelham Town House.

The 6 p.m. ceremony is at Gazebo Park, and highlights include a candlelight vigil and ecumental prayer service. Town Supervisor Peter DiPaola will offer opening remarks followed by members of the council offering reflections, then prayers from Rev. Kristin Granberg of Huguenot Memorial Church and Rabbi Alex Salzberg form the Pelham Jewish Center.

Maria Abeshouse will lead Pelham High School's chorus, and flags and candles will be distributed by the Town of Pelham. For details, visit Town of Pelham's website.
