Update: Pelham Memorial HS All-Clear After Students Evacuated

Update, 1:30 p.m.

PELHAM, N.Y. -- First-responders have determined the buildings to be clear and safe. 

Pelham Memorial High School students were escorted back to the secondary campus and reported to Period 2. Lockouts have been lifted at the elementary schools. 

Update, 12:15 p.m.

PELHAM, N.Y. -- Students and staff at Pelham Memorial High School are safe after a morning evaluation following a recorded bomb threat, Maria Slippen reported in an email sent to the school community just after noon Monday.

"Food is being provided for elementary students that do not have lunch and all PMS and PMHS students," Slippen wrote in the email. "At this point, no students are being dismissed."

PELHAM, N.Y. -- Pelham Memorial High School students were evacuated on Monday morning after a recorded bomb threat was reportedly called in, according to Superintendent Dr. Peter Giarrizzo.

Giarrizzo Tweeted all students from the high school and the middle school are being moved to an evacuation zone on foot with police and members of the faculty.

All four elementary schools are in lockout prohibiting anyone in or out of the building, but normal daily activities are continuing. Giarrizzo said no threats were made against the elementary schools. 

Giarrizzo said responders are on the scene and all students in all schools are safe.
