Newburgh House Cleaner Charged With Stealing Jewelry From Client's Home

NEWBURGH, N.Y. – A Newburgh woman who works as a house cleaner stole more than $1,000 in jewelry from one of her clients, according to New York State Police.

Debby I. Lowe, 46, allegedly stole the jewelry from a home in Hamptonburgh this summer then sold some of the items to an area pawn shop, officials said. 

Lowe was charged with grand larceny and will return to court on Dec. 27. 

Several other homes who employ cleaning services in the Towns of Warwick and Hamptonburgh have also reported missing valuables. State Police request any further victims contact the State Police at 845 457-1388 or contact their local police departments.
