Monroe Woman Raises $49K For Brother Whose Wife Died Birthing Twins

MONROE, N.Y. — A Monroe woman had raised more than $49,000 as of Wednesday evening on a GoFundMe for her brother, who was left caring for his twin nieces, 5-year-old daughter and two step-children after his wife died of an amniotic fluid embolism last week.

Julia Roman of Dumont, N.J. died in child labor on Thursday. Her husband, Victor, is left caring for their three daughters, including newborn twins.

Lucelenia Pimentel has been commuting from Monroe to Dumont, N.J., to aid her brother, Victor Roman.

Victor's wife, Julia Roman, died on Thursday while giving birth to twin daughters Isabella and Grace.

Services were held Tuesday and Wednesday.

Hundreds of women from across New York and New Jersey have donated or offered to donate breast milk to the family, as Julia was hoping to breast feed her babies.
