GoFundMe Page Launched For New Rochelle Family Following Fire

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- New Rochelle resident Yuliana Gomez and her 18-month-old daughter, Esmeralda, are currently without a long-term home, after a recent house fire, and her boss is hoping for assistance from the community.

Yuliana Gomez and her young daughter recently lost everything but each other in a house fire.

Brad Nagy -- one of the owners of Frankie & Fanucci's Wood-Fired Pizza, where Gomez works -- set up a GoFundMe page last week, following the Aug. 27 fire.

"They escaped with only the clothes on their back in the middle of the night," Nagy said. "The funds from this campaign would be used to help Yuliana and Esmeralda secure a new apartment, buy clothes, basic furniture, pots and pans, utensils, and all the other basic necessities."

The restaurant is also hosting a fundraiser, and people have been donating some clothes and other items.

You can donate to Gomez and her daughter through the GoFundMe page, here, or share the campaign on Facebook or Twitter.

"She a wonderful person and a very hard worker," Nagy said. "We would like to help her and Esmeralda get back on their feet."
