"We are thrilled to cap off the summer by hosting the second Westchester International Children's Film Festival at The Picture House," said Clayton Bushong, Director of Programming, Marketing and Operations at The Picture House. "It's a chance to travel the world through film without leaving Westchester."
The festival will kick off on Friday, Sept. 2 with an opening celebration and screening of the award-winning "April and the Extraordinary World" (France, PG, 1 hr. 45 mins.). Additional highlights of the festival include screenings of the features "Phantom Boy" (France, PG, 1 hr. 24 mins.), and the Academy-Award nominated "Boy and the World" (Brazil, PG, 1 hr. 20 mins.) as well as a variety of international short films.
From Friday through Monday, the festival will include a celebration of John Hughes' films with screenings of "The Breakfast Club," "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," "16 Candles," and "Pretty in Pink." Each will be screened at 9 p.m.

The film festival will conclude with a 'Taste of Education' day-long program at the theater, featuring one-hour workshops of some of The Picture House's most popular education classes taught by TPH faculty. These classes will be free and open to the public but are subject to availability and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Food trucks from around Westchester will also be on-site throughout the festival.
Tickets are $12, $6 for members, and $10 for students and seniors, for individual screenings. An all-access pass is $75, or $65 for members. A family pass -- good for a family of four -- to all the screenings is $125, or $115 for members. Additional family members can be added for $10 each.
