PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill Athletic Director Lou Panzanaro has announced the 2012 inductees into the Peekskill High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
Former National Football League offensive lineman Tre Johnson, Edwin Knickerbocker, Kim Lancaster, Dave Pohill and Windy Smythe, along with 1954-55 varsity football team and 1994-95 varsity boys basketball team, will be honored with a dinner at Colonial Terrace, on Sept. 28.
Johnson, class of 1989, a guard, played nine seasons in the National Football League, including eight with the Washington Redskins; Knickerbocker, 1949, was a swimmer; Lancaster, 1980, was a softball player; Pohill, 1978, was a baseball player; and Smythe, 1970, was a wrestler.
The 1994-95 varsity boys basketball team included Elton Brand, now a member of the Dallas Mavericks.
