Putnam County Sheriff’s Department officers say they initiated a vehicle stop after observing a motorist commit a traffic violation on East Mountain Road South in the Town of Philipstown on Friday, May 3 around 10 p.m.

Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Miguel Sinchi, 46, of Philipstown, had a revoked driver’s license as a result of a previous DWI offense, according to police.

Sinchi was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.

Sinchi was ticketed and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Philipstown Justice Court at a future date.
