PEEKSKILL, N.Y. An auto accident in Queens led to charges being filed against a 37-year-old woman, who is accused of taking her employer's vehicle on a joyride, Peekskill police said.
Maritza Lopez-Aleman was arrested at 5:15 p.m. Monday, July 16, at Peekskill police headquarters by Police Officer Chatoya Woodland. Lopez-Aleman was charged with second-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.
She took a vehicle belonging to the company she works for a drive on Saturday, July 1, and became involved in an auto accident in Queens, police said. She was released on her own recognizance and is due to appear at 11 a.m. July 30 in City Court.

Aggravated DWI: Mark Weinborg, 51, of Cortlandt Manor was arrested by Police Officer Nick Franco at 8 p.m. Sunday, July 15, and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Weinborg lost control of his vehicle near Louisa Street and Lower South Street and slid off the roadway, police said. He was found to have a blood alcohol concentration of 0.22 percent. Weinborg was released on his own recognizance and is due to appear at 11 a.m. Aug. 2 in City Court.
Asleep at the Wheel: Jaime Anguisaca, 32, of Peekskill was arrested by Police Officer John Marchioni at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, July 14, and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Police responded to a report of a man asleep at the wheel in the middle of Rev. Wiggins Boulevard. Anguisaca was found to have a blood alcohol concentration of 0.17 percent. He was released on $500 bail and is due to appear July 19 in City Court.
