Inge Newton Jamison, 78, Longtime Peekskill Resident, Wildlife Protector

PEEKSKILL/CORTLANDT, N.Y. - Inge Newton Jamison, a 47-year Peekskill/Cortlandt area resident, died April 8. She was 78.

Newton was a protector of wildlife, along with her husband, Willis “Snookie” Jamison, they owned and operated Lakeland Acres picnic grounds, and Dam Fino Construction.

Newton is survived by her son and two daughters, Alex Newton, Inge Zamperlin and Linda Jamison; and four grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, Peekskill, where a Funeral Service will be offered 11 a.m., Thursday, April 11 followed by interment in the Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor.
