Alan Kemp Of Pine Plains, Known As Avid Fisherman, Dies At 38

A celebration of life has been set for a passionate fisherman, Alan S. Kemp who died on Feb. 21, from a heart attack, at age 38.

The event "to gather and say goodbye" is on Saturday Aug.17 at noon at Kemp's home, 35 North Main St. in Pine Plains, the obituary said.

Kemp was born April 16, 1980, to Keven (Audrey) Kemp and Cheryl (John) Worrall.

He is survived by his son, Ian, who shares Kemp's love for hunting, fishing, RC cars, RC airplanes and most of all dirt bikes, the obituary said.

Other survivors include brothers, Ryan (Brandi) Kyle (Jamiee), step-brother Josh (Danielle and step-sisters, Ashley, Tina, Deidre (Weston)

He is also survived by an uncle, Mike (Roseann) and aunt, Mindy, and several nieces and nephews.

Kemp was predeceased by his grandparents, Herb and Virginia Kemp

He attended Stissing Mountain High School. He was a heavy equipment and truck mechanic by trade. He loved to work on his truck and chainsaws, according to the obituary.

Most of all, he loved to bass fish on Stissing Lake and deer hunt said the obituary.
