UPDATE: Peekskill Winter Weather Parking Has Been Rescinded

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -The winter parking alert has been rescinded by city officials following the cleanup of Saturday's snowstorm.

While the winter parking alerts are is in effect parking on non-alternate side streets is prohibited. Overnight parking is only permitted on the streets where alternate side of the street parking is allowed.

Vehicles found in violation of such ordinances will be towed at the owner’s expense and fined $50. Motorists are asked to cooperate to ensure that snow removal operations can be completed without hindrance from illegally parked vehicles.

 

 Saturday's snow caused several closings and cancelations:

  • Fred's Pantry at Saint Peter's Episcopal Church has been canceled for Saturday.
  • All Hendrick Hudson School District activities are canceled for the day.
  • Also, all basketball and swimming programs offered through Peekskill Recreation have been canceled.
  • Peekskill High School varsity and junior varsity boys basketball games scheduled to be played at Sacred Heart in Yonkers have been postponed for a later date to be announced later.
