The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to residents in Westchester regarding the residency of 37-year-old Anastacio Valencia, who has reported a move from Westchester County Jail to a residence on Reynolds Street in Peekskill.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Valencia as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense." He has also been designated as a sexually violent sex offender.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Valencia had sexual contact and intercourse with his victim in February 2004. He was convicted of first-degree rape of a victim under the age of 13 and sentenced to five years in prison in January the following year. Valencia is now under the jurisdiction of the Peekskill City Police Department.
