PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Lifelong Peekskill resident, Adelaide Lanni died peacefully at her home on Nov. 15, followed a battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was 91.
Lanni taught at Drum Hill Junior High School and Peekskill High School for over 40 years. She was active in community affairs and served as a charter member of Christopher Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are her sons Richard (Betty) Lanni of Fishkill and Chistopher Lanni of Peekskill, her daughter Patricia (Timothy) Murphy of Peekskill, her brother Victor Clemente, her sisters Theresa Brunelle and Florence Leon, a grandson and two great-grandchildren. Lanni was predeceased by her husband Patrick Lanni, brothers Ralph Clemente and George Clemente, sister Gloria Clemente and granddaughter Kate Moore.
The family will receive friends at Lanni's home on Thursday evening. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Church of the Assumption in Peekskill. Funeral arrangements under Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home.
