On the menu, you’ll find some traditional bar foods, though they’ve been crafted with a twist: starters like “grilled cheese” on a toasted baguette, mac and cheese and poutine are popular hits.
For those with heartier appetites, try one of the locale’s renowned burgers — the Beacon burger, for example, includes 8 oz. of Allen Bro. Farm Angus beef topped with whipped feta, lettuce, tomato, onion and homemade pickle on a brioche bun. Other classic entrees include chicken and dumplings, grilled ribeye steak and trout almandine.
The bar offers a variety of happy hours specials on weekdays between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., and the kitchen constructs a special menu each Wednesday to show off the chefs’ creative flair. Whether you’re attending for lunch, brunch, dinner, happy hour or “Off Beat Wednesday,” you’re sure to have a savory meal you won’t soon forget.
Though the restaurant has been open for just a few months, it’s already gaining a solid reputation on Facebook with a perfect five-star rating and more than 70 reviews.
“A place to go when you need to be treated right and enjoy fantastic food and drink! A tap house that raises the bar (no pun intended) for all Hudson Valley eateries,” wrote Scott S. in an April 10 Facebook review.
