Clausen, author of the guide "50 Beautiful Deer-Resistant Plants," will discuss how to properly maintain your garden and smart ways to keep deer away without installing a fence.

Clausen trained in England and now lives in Maryland. She travels widely, lecturing for gardening success. The former horticulture editor for Country Living Gardener, she has written additional books, including "Perennials for American Gardens" and "Dreamscaping."

Books will be available for purchase and autographing at the program. Special varieties of daffodil bulbs, suggested by Clausen, will be for sale as a fundraiser for the Garden Club's Daffodil Trail.

Don’t miss this chance to learn how to garden for your own enjoyment and not to feed the deer who romp around Westchester!

Refreshments will be provided by members of the Club.

The free illustrated talk will take place in the cafeteria of Peekskill Middle School at 212 Ringgold Street in Peekskill.
