Roadwork on Route 117 at Roaring Brook Road in Chappaqua started at 8 a.m. on Friday, July 12, as crews perform work in the area, likely leading to delays for motorists. The closures are expected to last until approximately 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

During the construction work, Roaring Brook Road will be closed from the entrance of the Horace Greeley High School to Route 117.

This is the third straight day that Roaring Brook Road has been temporarily closed as part of the project.

According to the New Castle Police Department, the work being done on Friday will require lane closures, road saw cutting and road excavation. During the project, motorists will see delays and have been told to find alternate routes, when possible.
