Trapped Driver Rescued From Car After Accident In Westchester County

One person is injured after they became trapped in their car following an accident in Westchester County, requiring them to be rescued. 

Firefighters from the West Harrison Fire Department free a driver from their car in Harrison in the area of White Plains Avenue and High Street.

The accident happened on Tuesday, Dec. 27 around 8:45 p.m., in Harrison in the area of White Plains Avenue and High Street, according to the West Harrison Fire Department. 

Upon arriving, firefighters realized the driver was trapped in their car which was lying on its side and needed to be extricated. To free them, firefighters stabilized the vehicle and cut the driver out using saws. 

The driver was then taken to a local hospital, firefighters said.
