Saturday, Officer JP Chavez was among several volunteers to model during the inaugural Ossining Fall Food and Fashion Show, according to a post on the department's Facebook page.
Chavez, who modeled a pink Ossining Police t-shirt, was hailed by the department as a "good sport (and brave soul)."
The show, which featured a number of local fashion purveyors, took place in Market Square, near the Ossining Farmers Market, was held from about 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
The event's aim was to reach out to regional farmers, designers, entrepreneurs, community activists and others. Market vendors also participated, presenting their autumn crops and foods on the promenade.
The models, many of whom wore the top looks of fall 2015, were selected to represent a wide swath of Ossining, such as the police department, the Ossining Parent Teacher Association, local businesses and more.
The fashion show was produced by Down to Earth Markets in partnership with community supporters. Risko Music provided a sound system and music for the event.
