OSSINING, N.Y. -- Ossining took time on Thursday night to honor some of the men and women who patrol the streets along with a local resident, John Barbaran who went above and beyond.
Barbaran, who used his personal vehicle to pull a stranded ambulance with patient on board from a snow bank during a winter storm, was issued a Civilian Award for his selfless act.
The award was given as part of the 2016 Police Week Awards Ceremony.
