It happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 25 in Uniondale.
A 46-year-old man operating a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle was involved in a collision with a 34-year-old man operating a 1999 Acura four-door sedan at the intersection of Front Street and Chester Street, Nassau County Police said.
As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead d by a staff physician, said police. His identity has not yet been released.
The operator of the Acura remained at the scene and was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
