LEWISVILLE, Texas - Robert Dale "Bob" Hammers of Lewisville and former resident of Star Junction, Pa., Ossining, N.Y., and San Antonio, died Tuesday, Nov. 12. He was 78.

Hammers was born April 14, 1935, in Star Junction, Pa., to Robert and Viola Hammers. He attended Saint Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Lewisville. He was involved in Cub Scouts, coached Little League, and CYO Basketball in Ossining and was active with St. Ann's Catholic Church in Ossining as well.

Hammers is survived by his wife, Regina Grona Hammers of Lewisville; son, Robert Dale Hammers, II (Holland Abercrombie) of Lewisville; a grandson; a niece; a grand niece; and many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; and sister, Ruth Lowery.

Burial will be Friday, Nov. 15 at 3 p.m. in Holy Cross Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
