Paul Dolcimascolo, 78, Former Ossining Resident, Army Veteran

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Paul Dolcimascolo of Myrtle Beach, formerly of Ossining, died March 14. He was 78.

Dolcimascolo was born March 24, 1935, in Ossining, to Cosmo and Angelina Dolcimascolo. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He served in Panama and later was assigned as a Sentinel Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery. He worked as a butcher for the A&P and was shop steward.

Dolcimascolo is survived by his wife, Evelyn; son, Paul Jr. (Maria); daughters, Joni Hedglin (Tom) and Donna Marie Eickler (Scott); four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Anthony; sister, Josephine Warner Connor; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson, Bryan.

Calling hours are Thursday, March 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State St., Ossining. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, March 21 at St. Ann's Church,and burial will be at St. Augustine's Cemetery.
