Irene M. Knapp, 56, Of Ossining, Worked For Cardella Wines & Liquor

OSSINING, N.Y. - Irene M. Knapp of Ossining died Jan. 13. She was 56.

Knapp was born Nov. 2, 1957, in Yonkers, to Robert and Irene (Untener) O'Brien. She worked as a meat manager in Briarcliff Manor and at Cardella Wines & Liquor in Ossining for many years.

Knapp is survived by her daughter, Irene Roman; son, Ryan Knapp, both of Ossining; sisters, Colleen Carpenter of Yonkers, Noreen Duppstaudt and Sharon Melhorn; and brother, Bobby O'Brien, all of Pennsylvania.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Knapp’s life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26 at Leach & Thomas, Inc., 32 State St., Ossining.
