OSSINING, N.Y. - George P. Burckhard, formerly of Ossining, died Friday, April 4. He was 58.
Burckhard was the son of Joseph and Mary (nee Hand) Burckhard. He was a lifelong member of Washington Hook and Ladder Company of the Ossining Fire Department. He worked as a school bus driver for the Hudson Valley Bus Company.
Burckhard is survived by his wife, Debbie; sons, Joseph (Lauren) and Charles; daughter, Kelly; brothers, Gerry (Peggy), Joseph (Nancy) and Kevin (Winnie); sisters, Marybeth (Dave) and Barbara (Jeff); sister-in-law Amy; two granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul.
A memorial service was held at 8 p.m. Sunday, April 6 at Dorsey.
