OSSINING, N.Y. - Elizabeth "Lil" Girvalo, a lifelong resident of Ossining, died March 19. She was 93.
Girvalo was born May 22, 1919 in Ossining to Guiseppe and Luigina Chiacchia. She worked at Maryknoll Fathers for 34 years. She was a communicant of St. Ann's Parish.
Girvalo is survived by a niece and two nephews; three great nieces, one great nephew and five great-great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alfonso; and sisters, Florence Riccio Benke and Antoinette Antonini.
Calling hours are Thursday 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State St., Ossining. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 10 a.m. at St. Ann's. Interment will follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery.
