OSSINING, N.Y. -- Daranee Ekmahachai of Ossining passed away on June 4 after a battle with cancer. She was 68.
Ekmahachai was born on Feb. 3, 1947 in Bangkok, Thailand to the late Prayode and Lamdub Angsusingha. She worked many years as a Prenatal Nurse at the Ossining Open Door. She is survived by her husband, Sunya; daughters Sunsaneeya and Suvida; her son, Sunya Jr.; brothers Charlermrath, Tanit, Kitti; nieces and nephews; and her grandchildren, Charlotte and Everett. She was predeceased by her brother Parinya and sister Yupayong.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6 at Dorsey Funeral Home, Inc. in Ossining. Cremation will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Daranee's memory to the Ossining Open Door.
