OSSINING, N.Y. - Celia Sanchez, a resident of Ossining, died Wednesday, July 17. She was 98.
Sanchez was born July 26, 1914, in Puerto Rico, daughter of Gregorio and Angelina (Ojeda) Sanchez. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses of the Ossining Spanish Congregation.
Sanchez is survived by her children, Antonio, Cesar, Agredin, Iraida Rivera, Edgar Rojas, Ilsa and Celenia Pabon; five grandchildren; great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Antonio Rivera; children, Olga Ramos, Leida Otero and Onorio Rivera.
Calling hours are Friday, July 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Dorsey Funeral Home. The services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 20 at Dorsey Funeral Home. The interment will follow at Dale Cemetery.
